Writing courses

Writing a book readers will love takes know-how, time… and a village! Join our supportive group writing courses and bring your book idea to life.

  • WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING

The one thing that stood out for me and that has stayed with me since the course is critical reading and how to implement that into my writing. Previously, I would read something I've written, realise there was something missing, but be unable to pinpoint it. Now, I can use the 'critical' aspect I learned in the course to understand what's missing. I also enjoy the Writers' Circle because of the accountability it creates in having to discuss my work with others. Also being in the same room as people who are going through the writing journey and understand the struggles of writer's block is so refreshing!

  • WHAT ARE PEOPLE SAYING

The Fiction Book Writing Course created a writing community and companionship for me that I was desperately searching for. The meetings throughout the course, and the monthly Writers' Circles that followed, are something that I loved and made this course exceptional for me. I also really appreciated the editorial feedback I received from Thalia. She raised several critical questions that I hope, once solved, will lift my story.

  • WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the time spent with me over the mentoring sessions. You’ve inspired me to keep going, to develop and to grow my written expression. I hear your input and guidance as I write each sentence.

writing Mentorship

Choose between monthly or twice-monthly sessions where you will meet with your writing coach online and tackle the following:

  • How to find your voice, feel confident, and get writing!

  • Work out what your vision is for the book, and design a roadmap to get you there.

  • Break up the book into small manageable writing assignments that you complete before the following session.

  • Learn key writing techniques and all the tools of the trade.

  • Develop your key strengths as a writer and work on areas that are holding you back.

  • Consistent encouragement and editorial support every step of the way.

Between each session, your writing coach will review up to 3,000 words of your writing and provide feedback in the next call.
